Social Media & Storytelling Lead
Please note: this job description changed on 7/17/26 from full time to part-time. For transparency, here is the prior JD.
Current Tuli Context
Tuli Lodge started as a six-month proof of concept on Pier 62, and now we’re operating two new locations this summer: one on the Lake Union piers in South Lake Union, and an “outpost” at Old Stove Brewing’s Ship Canal in North Queen Anne. We’re scouting our first permanent location, preparing to fundraise, and building the team that will work with us to grow us across the US!
In our first season, we grew to 7,000+ social media followers, millions of organic impressions, hundreds of influencer relationships, and over 4,000 unique guests. We’re looking for a Social Media and Storytelling Lead who wants to take Tuli to a whole new level from our early and scrappy stage into something big!!
The Role
This is Tuli's first digital marketing hire, and we’re looking for a true go-getter, idea machine, and compelling storyteller. You'll play a large role in designing our digital presence and the way we bring our brand narrative to life.
You'll work closely with our Partnerships & Events Lead (AKA IRL Marketing Lead) to surface and amplify everything happening at Tuli, collaborate with our graphic designer / art director on content assets, and stay plugged into on-site operations so nothing worth capturing slips by.
The primary function of this role is scripting, filming, producing, and occasionally editing content, and the focus is on storytelling and making the audience feel “that tuli feeling.” You will report directly to the founder and CEO.
What You'll Do
Organic Social Media (Your #1 Priority)
Build strategy and day-to-day execution across Instagram, TikTok, and any other digital platform where our audience shows up
Move fast on trends
Ideate, script, film, edit, and post video content yourself - no waiting on someone else to hand you a concept and turn it into reality
(Potentially) collaborate with and manage a video editor - you create the story and strategy, script, film, and produce, then the editor will cut transitions and clips according to your vision. (TBD if we go this direction, and in any case, you will need video editing skills)
Build and manage a content calendar, and adjust in real time as things happen at Tuli
Write compelling, on-brand captions that make people stop scrolling
Collaborate with our Art Director on visual assets - you don't need to be an expert in illustrator, but you have to know what's good or whip something up quickly in canva
Work closely with our Partnerships & Events Lead to make sure every activation, collab, and big moment is hyped before it happens, and recapped for the FOMO
Own our DMs -- use tools to scale and make people feel heard, not just AI auto-replies
Track performance obsessively, analyze what works, present data to leadership, and use it to drive what we do next
Media Production & Library
Keep all images and videos (raw and edited) organized and searchable
Develop shot lists for missing content and either capture it yourself or coordinate to get it
Growth Opportunities
This role is social-first, but as you settle in and the role grows, there's clear runway to expand into:
Content creator & influencer programming
Email marketing (newsletters, automations, transactional messaging)
Paid social
Google Ads
SEO and Google Business Profile optimization
Text blasts
Building and managing a team under you as Tuli scales
Who You Are
We're not hiring only based on years of experience. We're hiring based on proof of work, instinct, and the ability to move fast and figure things out.
Chronically online: you know what's trending before it blows up big, and you're already thinking about how Tuli fits in with the bit
An executor, not just an ideator: you don't pitch and wait, you pitch and already have a draft and make the dream a reality
A strong storyteller: you know how to get people to feel emotion through words, sounds, and pictures
Have a strong understanding of the Tuli narrative: you get what we’re trying to build, and are already cooking on how to make people feel that tuli feeling through content
A video native: you can ideate, script, shoot, edit, and post a short-form video from scratch, quickly, and you can give direction to others for how to do the same
Analytical: you track performance, know what metrics matter, can explain what the data means, and make a plan according to the statistics
Hyper-organized: you’re fastidious about naming files, hitting deadlines, and know where to find any photo or piece of information
A fast learner: you pick up brand voice and visual aesthetic quickly and don't need a 50-page guide to get it right; you know how to learn new tech tools to level yourself up
AI-savvy but original: you use AI as a tool, not a crutch, and are always pushing yourself to learn the latest
Energized by early-stage environments: you're excited to make a big impact with limited resources, love building from scratch, and are inspired by the speed of a startup
Can see & recreate cool aesthetic: you have strong aesthetic intuition and can make a vibey mood board

About Tuli Lodge
We're a social sauna garden, reimagining the way that we hang out in the US. Think beer garden energy, but with wood-fired saunas and cold plunges instead of brews.
